What RoleReady stores
Your resume, job listings, application notes, and AI analysis results are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to or stored on RoleReady's servers.
If you clear your browser storage or use a different device or browser, that data is gone. There is no cloud backup. This is by design.
What leaves your device
Two AI features send data to Anthropic's API:
- Fit analysis — your resume text and the pasted job description are sent to Claude to generate synergies, gaps, and interview tips.
- Cover letter — the job description and the fit analysis results are sent to Claude to draft a cover letter.
No data beyond what is needed for these specific requests is transmitted. Your name, email address, and account information are never included in API calls.
Anthropic's data handling
RoleReady uses the Anthropic API. Anthropic does not train its models on API request data. Anthropic may retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for trust and safety review, after which they are deleted. See Anthropic's privacy policy for details.
Authentication
RoleReady is currently in private beta, gated by Cloudflare Access. When you log in, Cloudflare sends a one-time passcode to your email address. Your email is processed by Cloudflare for authentication purposes only and is not stored by RoleReady. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details on how they handle authentication data.
Cookies and tracking
RoleReady does not use analytics, advertising cookies, or cross-site tracking. Cloudflare Access sets a session cookie to maintain your authenticated state. No other cookies are set.
Deleting your data
Because your data lives in your browser, you control it entirely. To delete everything:
- Open your browser's developer tools (F12)
- Go to Application → Local Storage → your RoleReady URL
- Delete the entries prefixed with
jt:
Or clear all site data for roleready.work in your browser settings. There is no account to delete because we do not hold your data.
